Final phase of resurfacing underway on CTfastrak guideway

CTfastrak customers in Hartford can expect smoother rides and enhanced safety as the final phase of the guideway resurfacing project has begun.

With the resurfacing, which began Monday, Sept. 21, 2026, the section of the guideway from Sigourney Street Station to Oakwood Avenue has been closed for milling and paving throughout the 2026 construction season and is expected to reopen in five or six weeks or when work is completed. During this time, Routes 101, 102, 121, 125, 128, 923 and 928 will be required to detour. No detour will be necessary for all other routes.

Here's what you need to know:

• Bus stop changes

  • Sigourney Street Station

    • Routes 101, 125 and 128 traveling to Hartford will pick up and drop off at Platform D on Hawthorn Street
    • Routes 923 and 928 traveling to Bristol, UConn Health and Waterbury will pick up and drop off on Hawthorn Street near the corner of Imlay Street, across the street from the station
    • All other buses will stop at their regular locations as scheduled

  • Parkville Station

    • Routes 101, 102, 121, 125 and 128 traveling to Hartford will pick up and drop off outside the station at Park and Francis
    • Routes 101, 102, 121, 125 and 128 traveling from Hartford will pick up and drop off at Park and Orange, across the street from the station

  • Kane Street Station

    • Routes 101, 102, 121, 125 and 128 traveling to Hartford will pick up and drop off on New Park Avenue outside the station
    • Routes 101, 102, 121, 125 and 128 traveling from Hartford will pick up and drop off on New Park Avenue at Mr. Sparkle Car Wash, across the street from the station
    • Route 153 will stop at Bus Stop C as scheduled

  • Flatbush Avenue Station

    • Routes 101, 102, 121, 125 and 128 traveling to Hartford will pick up and drop off on New Park Avenue outside the station
    • Routes 101, 102, 121, 125 and 128 traveling from Hartford will pick up and drop off on New Park Avenue at Cumberland Farms, across the street from the station
