Buckland Park & Ride closing temporarily for parking lot striping

Following last weekend's milling and paving of the Buckland Park & Ride, CTtransit will be closing the parking lot this weekend to allow restriping of the parking lot.

Beginning Friday, October 30, at 6 p.m., the parking lot will be closed to allow crews to complete the work. All vehicles will need to be removed by 8 p.m. on Friday to avoid possible towing at the owner's expense. The Park & Ride is scheduled to reopen on Monday, November 2, at 6 a.m.

During the closure:

• A regular schedule will be in effect
• All 903 buses will drop off inside the lot as scheduled, including the 5:55 p.m. trip from Hartford
• Beginning with the 5:55 p.m. trip from Storrs and the 6:21 p.m. trip from Hartford, Route 913 will serve the mall first, then make a street stop outside the parking lot on Buckland Street
• On Saturday, October 31, and Sunday, November 1, Route 913 buses that are not scheduled to stop at the mall will bypass Buckland completely
